題目：Individual Differences in Spoken Language Development: Internal and External Factors

Abstract: Language acquisition is a fluid and dynamic process determined by both learner-internal and environmental factors. My research takes an individual differences approach with the aims of specifying the influence of multiple factors and drawing practical implications for spoken language assessment. In this talk I will highlight several lessons we learned through the study of childhood bilingualism, second language acquisition, children with Developmental Language Disorder, and children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. These lessons delineate the complex effects of compromised learning system, reduced language input, and the typological features of the languages to be learned on learning outcomes. In addition, they provide implications regarding disentangling differences from disorders in bilingual children and markers of language disorders in typologically distinct languages.

主講人簡(jiǎn)介：盛欐教授，香港理工大學(xué)中文及雙語(yǔ)研究學(xué)系教授，博士生導(dǎo)師，學(xué)系研究委員會(huì)主席；上海兒童醫(yī)學(xué)中心訪問(wèn)教授，上海海事大學(xué)客座教授，上海浦東新區(qū)百人計(jì)劃創(chuàng)新人才；美國(guó)言語(yǔ)-語(yǔ)言-聽(tīng)力協(xié)會(huì)成員, 薩爾茨堡全研討會(huì)會(huì)士。2007年至2021年，她先后任職于德州大學(xué)奧斯汀分校和特拉華大學(xué)。以推動(dòng)對(duì)語(yǔ)言發(fā)展機(jī)制的理解，改善語(yǔ)言障礙人群的生活質(zhì)量為目標(biāo)，盛教授開(kāi)展了基礎(chǔ)，轉(zhuǎn)化，臨床等多層次的研究。近年來(lái)，盛欐教授主要探究了學(xué)習(xí)者的內(nèi)部因素（如學(xué)習(xí)能力和執(zhí)行功能），環(huán)境因素（如語(yǔ)言輸入的數(shù)量和質(zhì)量）和語(yǔ)言因素（如目標(biāo)語(yǔ)言的特點(diǎn)）如何共同塑造學(xué)習(xí)結(jié)果。盛教授主持或參與包括香港政府大學(xué)教育資助委員會(huì)基金項(xiàng)目，美國(guó)國(guó)家教育科學(xué)院基金項(xiàng)目，美國(guó)斯賓賽基金會(huì)項(xiàng)目，美國(guó)言語(yǔ)-語(yǔ)言-聽(tīng)力協(xié)會(huì)基金項(xiàng)目，教育部人文社科項(xiàng)目在內(nèi)的多項(xiàng)科研項(xiàng)目。盛教授曾任國(guó)際期刊「美國(guó)言語(yǔ)語(yǔ)言病理期刊」（American Journal of Speech Language Pathology）副主編，并擔(dān)任30余種國(guó)際核心刊物及美國(guó)、新加坡、奧地利、香港多項(xiàng)學(xué)術(shù)基金的評(píng)審專(zhuān)家。
